Violet Mae Crowder

Violet Mae Crowder, 78, Greensboro, NC, formerly of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Ayers; parents, Stewart and Vivian Persinger; and sons, Billy and Michael Crowder; and brothers, Eddie and Stewart (Doodle Bug) Persinger. Survivors include her son, Timmy Crowder; daughters, Sherlene Parker, Susie Joslyn, and Judy Booth; sister, Carolyn Scales; brothers, Jimmy, Leonard, and L.C. Persinger; eighteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with her Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 pm in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va. 24066 with Elder Cleatus Newcomb officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery~Buchanan.
