Vernon "Bunt" Harris,

Vernon "Bunt" Delhart Harris, Sr., 83, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Boothe Harris, parents, Ellis G. and Beulah Harris, sisters, Stella Woolwine and Claudine Hutchens, and brothers, Dewey "Chubby" and Lewis Harris. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Vernon D., Jr. "Del" and Deborah Harris of Roanoke; grandchildren, Amanda Humphries, Patrick Harris, and Nathan Harris; great-granddaughter, Tinley Humphries; and sister, Sara Dooley of Montvale. Funeral Services will be held 1pm Monday, July 16, 2012 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles O'Roark officiating. Interment will follow in Daleville Cemetery.
