Sally Landes Duke

Sally Marie Landes Duke, 78, passed away Friday, May 18, 2019. Sally loved her children and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye; she also enjoyed flowers, gardening, birds, and her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Henry Landes and Mary Jane Campbell Landes; sisters, Bertie, Janie, Janice, and Louise; and her brothers, Joseph, Samuel, Pete, Frankie, Bill, and Bob. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James Brack "JB" Duke; daughter, Mary Duke Blackburn and spouse, Tony; daughter, Carol Duke Winand and spouse, Luke, all of Buchanan; grandchildren, Whitney Blackburn, Blake and Molly Winand; sisters, Mary Frances Smith and spouse, Gary of Buchanan; Shirley Booth Ray and spouse George of Stuart; and two special nieces, Pam Higgins Crabb and Belinda Duke Jones. Sally's family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm., in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Virginia 24066, her memorial service will begin at 3:30 PM with Pastor JR Graybill officiating.
