Sallie Harlow Strickland

Sallie Harlow Strickland, 93, of Buchanan, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Branson" Strickland; parents, Lewis and Ebah Harlow; son, Richard Lewis Strickland; and nephew, Allen Camper. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judie S. and Mike Jordan of Buchanan; grandchildren, Annlea Whittaker; Johnny and Jan Whittaker; Jimmy and Tommy Strickland; great-grandchildren, Lindsey W. and C.J. Mullins, Zach Whittaker, Nichols and Tyler Strickland, T.J. and Tyfanie Strickland; great-great-grandchildren, Bianca, Carter, and Cora Mullins; sister, Margaret Camper and her son, (Sallie's nephew) Danny; daughter-in-law, Polly Strickland; and former son-in-law, Oscar Whittaker. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, February 1, 2015 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
