Ruth Evelyn Ambrose

On October 29th, 2017, Ruth E. Ambrose went to be with our Lord. He called her to come home and be in peace, without pain and suffering, to rejoin her mother and family. Beloved mother, loved one and friend, she will be missed. We celebrate her life and all she taught us and pay tribute to her memory in all that we do. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Blankenship; son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Susan Ambrose; grandchildren, Cynthia and John Blankenship, Dan and Andy Ambrose, Tamara Peterson, and Bob Ashworth; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Dusty, Victoria, Isabella, Layna, Collin, Vanessa, Jessica, Tyler, Payton, and Leah; great-great-grandchildren, Lucas, Mylah, Berett, and Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha McGee and son-in-law, Elmer Blankenship. Funeral Services will be held 1pm Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive the friends one hour before the service.
