Ruby Gail Ayers Chapman

Ruby Gale Ayers Chapman, 81, of Buchanan, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Pearl Ayers; brothers, Howard V. Worth and Thomas E. Ayers; sisters, Shelby J. Ayers and Janet F. (Calvin) Arrington; and daughter-in-law, Tammy S. Chapman.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce and Robert Chapman; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Romie “Alan” Thomasson; grandchildren, Haley Mays, Robert Chapman, Jr., Jasmine Forest, Kaleb Mays, Abigail “Abby” Thomasson, and Jacob “Jakey Poo” Thomasson; sisters and brother-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” and Billy Booze; Betty “Cotton” Ayers; sister-in-law, Georgia T. Ayers; and numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Priscilla Kelly and Heather Trivellin.

The family will have a private committal service at Noftsinger Styne Pico Cemetery followed with a public visitation on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 11am-12pm with funeral services at noon at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Jerome Coleman officiating.
