Richard Raymond George

Richard Raymond George, 73, of Fincastle, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022. Richard was a U S Army veteran serving in Viet Nam, retired from Roanoke Cement after 45 years of service, and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and motorcycles. He was a member of Lithia United Methodist Church and he loved his church family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile A. George and Mary Welshan George; brother, Sonny George, and sister, Patty Houy. Richard also loved his family deeply and is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Gail Thacker George; daughter, Kristi Gittins; son, Jody George; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Colten, Emily, and Megan.
