Norma Hammit Wickline

Norma Hammit Wickline, 90, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday evening, February 26, 2015. She had worked for the Whiting Oil Company and the Bank of Botetourt full and part-time for over 47 years and was part owner of Beaver Dam Farms, Inc. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Preston Wickline, Jr.; parents, Oly Frank and Jessie Peck Thrasher Hammit; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Lee and Russel Hess, Frances and Gilbert Rollins, and Ruth and William (Bill) Stull, J. D. Hawkins, C. Gilbert Stinnett, and Fred Racey; son-in-law, Bobby Loope. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, L. Charles and Elizabeth Provost, F. Preston, III and Linda Wickline, all of Buchanan; daughters and son-in-law, Jane W. and Andy Huff, Kate H. Loope, all of Buchanan; sisters, Mary Hawkins and Margaret Stinnett, both of Buchanan, Doris Racey of Woodstock; brother and sister-in-law, John D. and Marian S. Hammit of Buchanan; grandchildren, Candace (Patrick) Monaghan, Kristi (Wayne) Porter, Bradley Wickline, Brent Loope and fiancée, Kendra Anderson, Lacey Loope, Troy Huff, and Sarah Huff; great-grandchildren, Ella Monaghan, Brennen Monaghan, Haleigh Porter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 2, 2015 in the Trinity United Methodist Church of Buchanan with Rev. Doug Mitchell and Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery ~ Buchanan at a later date. The family will receive friends on Sunday March 1, 2015 from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 9 pm.
