Melissa Dawn Tinsley

Melissa Dawn Jones Tinsley, 55, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Garland Jones and Virginia Ann Stoots Jones; niece, Amanda Jones; and fur babies, Rocko, Shooter, Miranda, and Aubrey.

Melissa is survived by her husband of 26 years, James R. Tinsley, Jr.; sons, James Stoots (Jeannie), and Tony Tinsley; daughter, Ashley Stoots (JR Smith); grandchildren, Duane Smith, Dakota Smith, Landon Stoots, Savannah Stoots, and Skyler Stoots; brother, Jimmy Jones; sisters, Nancy Barlow, Dora Ellison, and Patty Jones; fur babies, Louie, JP, and Pinto; and numerous nieces and nephews.
