Louise Welch Thomasson

Louise "Weezie" Welch Thomasson, 72, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Hawkeye" Thomasson, Sr.; parents Marion Allen Welch and Mildred Irene Moseley; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Welch. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Weezie enjoyed playing bingo, working, gluing, and framing puzzles, and her time spent with the Diner's club. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Henry "Davey", Jr. and Debbie Thomasson of Buchanan; daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Paul Boggess of Buchanan; Lori and Darren Kittleson of Bentonville, Va ; grandchildren, Brian, Alan, John, Amanda, and Rachel; nine great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Michael Johns, Mary and Raymond Sparks, and Faye Boley; and brothers, Jimmy Welch; Gayle Welch and Diane. Special thanks to her beloved sister, Faye Boley; caregivers, Carol Kelly, Georgia Ayers, Judi Eubank; Dr. Glenney and staff; Lexington Dialysis staff; Brenda St. Claire and Golden Living; Theresa Deisher and Medi Home Health Hospice; and Gene Spangler and David Rhodes at Burger King for their loving care and kindness. Memorial Services will be held 2pm Sunday, July 14, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Elmer Clemmons officiating.
