Lillian Gladys Pursley

Lillian Gladys Helms Pursley, 98, of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016. Mrs. Pursley was a member of Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren since 1928. She was predeceased by her husband, Bennett F. Pursley; parents, Robert L. and Amanda Haynes Helms; brothers, Payne, Ira, and Grant Helms; and sister, Leitha Murray. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; and many loyal friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Virginia. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Tabor officiating.
