Karen Sue Harvey Childress, 62, of Vinton, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyndum "Buster" Childress. She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Staton, Wyndum, Jr., Raymond, and Bryan Childress; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Audrey White, Gloria Scott, Judy Bailey, Bonnie Moore, Rhonda Ferry, and Betty Moore; and brother; John Harvey. Funeral Services will be private but the family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2013 noon till 7pm at the home of Raymond Childress, 1020 Craig Ave., Salem.
