Julia Elizabeth Newcomb Norton

Julia Elizabeth Newcomb Norton “Julie”, 52, of Botetourt County, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 after a courageous but brief struggle. She inspired many by her courage and faith during her battle. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Brooks Newcomb; father, Roger Newcomb; and grandparents, J.D. “Hawkie” and Mary Hawkins and William and Louise Newcomb. Julie loved all things nature, especially animals, birds, flowers, and butterflies. She was owner/operator of Ashley’s Signs and Finds and Norton Home Improvements. She is survived by her husband of 6 years, Scott Norton; son, James A. Brooks; step-son, Stone Norton; grandchildren, Blaise, Ryder, Rhyatt, Nash, and Lily; mother, Mary Jane Newcomb; special friend, Nickiee Campbell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 20, 2021, at 7 p.m. at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm that same evening.
