John Walter Washington

John Walter Washington, 90, of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Homer and Cynthia Owens Washington; six brothers; two daughters; and wife, Barbara Robinson Washington. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Emmit) Jones, Pam Lee, John, Thomas, Mark, and Judge Washington all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special niece Sherry Hill, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 3pm Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. James Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan 540-254-3000.
