James Lloyd Garrett

James Lloyd Garrett, Jr., 64, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Mr. Garrett was a volunteer truck driver for the 82nd Airborne Div. Assn / Christian Soldiers Food Pantry in Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Elizabeth Hayth Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Dorothy (Dottie) Vaughan Garrett; father, James Lloyd Garrett, Sr.; sons, Patrick Garrett and Christopher Garrett; sister, Brenda Garrett; grandchildren, Amber and Chase McGrath, Jonathan and Isabell Garrett, and Chase Garrett; niece, Minnerva Garrett; and nephew, Clinton Garrett. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm with the Memorial Service beginning at 4 pm, Sunday, February 11, 2018 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va 24066 with the Rev. David C. Burgess officiating. Interment will be private.
