Howard Wayne Shanks, Sr.

Howard Wayne Shanks, Sr., 75, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Shanks; sisters, Carolyn Shanks, Joyce Thomasson, and Patsy Deacon.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Lugar Shanks; children and spouses, Ralph Shanks, II, Wayne Jr. and Melanie Shanks, Shannon Shanks, Sharron Shanks, Jessica and Romie “Alan” Thomasson, and Dillon Shanks; 11 grandchildren; numerous in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am Friday, October 21, 2022 at Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren with Pastor Michael Tabor, Jr. officiating.
