Gilbert Ray Hodges, 68, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012. He was preceded his parents, Jesse and Madeline Hodges; and brothers, Kenneth and Gene Hodges. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judith Hodges; his children, Barry Hodges, Terry Hodges, Karen Cox, Jennifer Hodges; grandchildren; Christopher Matthew Eanes, Jessica Pugh, Allison Eanes, Christopher Lee Edwards, Barry Hodges, Jr., Phillip Hodges, Candace Hodges, and Victoria Hodges; great-grandchildren, Erica Eanes, Aiden Perdue, and Christopher Edwards Eanes; sister, Barbara Kinsey; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Ricky Nunley and Harvie (Patty) Roberts; and sister-in-law, Connie Welch and special friend, Mike Thompson and other special friends. Funeral Services will be held 2 pm Wednesday,, September 5, 2012 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior. 254-3000
