Frank Richard Stanley

Frank Richard Stanley, 60, of Buchanan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at home surrounded by his family after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Frank was an ordained Minister, last serving at the Church of God-Moneta, he owned and operated F & R Hauling, loved muscle cars, including "Betty" the Corvette and "Moose" the Ford F350 Truck, and his friends at the Buchanan Stop-in. Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Robin Taylor Stanley; children, Heather M. Stanley of Franklin County, Nathan and Lorrie Stanley of Bedford, Daniel and Falon Stanley of Vinton, Kathryn S. Wilmer and Taryn L. Stanley , both of Buchanan; grandchildren, Nikki Armstrong, Cheyenne and Christian Stanley; great-granddaughter, Aya Armstrong; brothers, Ronnie Stanley of Arcadia, Johnny Stanley of Grundy, Bobby Stanley of Clifton Forge; sister, Jackie Brown of Clifton Forge. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2011 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Witt officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
