Edward Dean Woodson

Edward Dean Woodson, age 77, passed away on February 14, 2022 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, Virginia. Dean was a life-long resident of Eagle Rock, Virginia. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, and worked his entire career at Westvaco in Covington, Virginia. Dean loved reading, golf, and hunting. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Brack Irvie and Hazel (Johnson) Woodson. He is survived by his brother, Gary Woodson Knoxville TN; children, Dr. Erika Woodson (Neil McEntaggart) in Shaker Heights OH; Adam Woodson in Abingdon, VA; and Dr. Sara Woodson (LTC Dr. Bryan Gnade) in Rockville MD; five grandchildren: Colin, Fionnula, and Margaret McEntaggart and Caroline and Henry Woodson; and special friend, Della Woodson. Dean requested no services be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Eagle Rock Fire and Rescue.
