Doris Ann Sloan Morgan

Doris Ann Sloan Morgan, 77, of Moneta, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her dad, James Paul Sloan; mother, Mildred Schilling Sloan Ayers; and step-dad, Ezra Ayers. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 58 years, Glenwood I. (Glen) Morgan; son, G. Paul Morgan and wife, Stephanie; sister, Karen Lynn Sloan; brother, Larry (Kim) Ayers; and three special kids (grandkids of the heart), that called her GaGa, Malia, Landen, and Bryce Bowman. Doris’ Homegoing service will be held, Monday, December 18, 2023 at 4:00 pm in Halesford Baptist Church, 2485 Lost Mountain Road, Wirtz, Va, 24184 with Pastors Justin Likens, Craig Polston, and Melvin Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Monday at the church. In keeping with her wishes, a memorial meal with be held at the church following the service. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road, Roanoke, 24018.
