Della Jane Wilhelm Ballard

Della W. Ballard, 68, loving mother and partner passed away peacefully on August 30, 2023 to be with the Lord. She was born on December 7, 1955, and was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Austin Long and Chalmer R. Wilhelm; and sister, Glenda Fay Ruff (Tink).

She is survived by two sisters, Darlene Clark of Buena Vista and Christie Faulkner (Jimmy) of Kinwood, Texas; two daughters, Tracey Sloan of Buchanan and Chastity Loan of Roanoke; Della’s life partner of twenty-three years, Horace (Bob) Elwell of Lexington; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends.
