Delbert Ray Harlow

Delbert Ray Harlow, 73, of Eagle Rock, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Raymond D. Harlow and Louise Barnes Hostetter; brothers, Linzsey Barnes, Robert Barnes, and Fred Hostetter; and sister, Sue Harlow Sparks.

Delbert enjoyed singing in the choir at Eagle Rock Baptist Church. He also enjoyed cars and spending time with his beloved fur baby, Tippy. He graduated from James River High School in the early 70s and worked at Groendyk in Buchanan until it closed in 2008. He also worked at Walmart as an inventory stocker.

Left to cherish Delbert’s memory are his sister, Minnie Craft; fur baby, Tippy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 11 am on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel, with Pastor Billy Ronk officiating. Interment will follow at Eagle Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
