Clifton Paul Etzler, Jr.

Clifton Paul Etzler, Jr., 71, of Troutville, Va., passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. He was born on September 28, 1950 and was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Paul Etzler, Sr. and Dorothy Noffsinger Etzler. Paul graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Emory & Henry University. He was employed by EZlocal in digital online marketing and a member of the Virginia Board of Realtors. Paul enjoyed yearly trips to the beach, holiday meals with his family, and back porch conversations. He was an avid reader of political non-fiction and fictional thrillers, not to mention books to master the art of cooking. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy E. and Bo Barnett of Troutville; nephew and niece, Christopher Brandon Scharnus and Kristen Amber Barnett; numerous cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on June 4, 2022 at Mount Union Cemetery in Botetourt County. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 4930 Country Club Road, Troutville Va 24175.
