Clifford Eugene Hoppe

Clifford Eugene Hoppe, 91, of Buchanan, Va., passed peacefully to the Lord on Sunday, August 22, 2021. The love, pride and joy of his life was his family: wife of 64 years, Mary Joan; son, Vincent (Heather); daughter, Brenda (Chip); grandchildren, Bethany (deceased), Travis (Brittany), Bryan, and Dalton (Jo); great grandchildren, Aspen, Jovie, Sutton, and Emory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Edward, 1st and Ruth Phillip Hoppe; Brothers, Pierre 2nd, Gordon; sisters, Charlotte Carter, Doris Rose, and Gloria Swan; and granddaughter, Bethany Marie Franklin. He served 9 years in US Navy and then went on to retire from NSA. A celebration of life will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
