Charles William Burrell

Charles Willliam Burrell, 71, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Charles was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and had a love of playing sports. His memory will live on through the family and friends who were blessed to share his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Virginia Burrell; his father, George Toliver; and his grandparents, Elliott and Mary Ruth Burrell who lovingly raised him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon Waldron Burrell; daughter, Chasity Waldron; brothers, Joseph, Melvin, Brian, Stephon, James “Tony” Burrell; half-brother and sister-in-law, George and Sabrina and the rest of the Toliver family. Hi is also survived by his in-laws, Janet and George Lewis, Mike and Jan Waldron, Dana and Angelique Waldron, William and Tracy Waldron, and Mariam Gunter and Toguri Lee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm Friday, October 9, 2026 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral. A meal will be held next door at the Event Center, those wishing to contribute, please bring a dish.
