Brenda Dudley

Brenda Mae King Dudley, 76, of Buchanan, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025. The "Boss" had retired as a bus driver for Botetourt County School Board. She was also involved as restaurant owner, caterer, and delivered flowers for Cahoon's Florist. Brenda loved bowling, Tennessee shopping, Lilacs, and taking care of elderly people and cooking for them. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Oler L. "Johnny" Dudley; parents, Frank and Joyce Lorrine Terry King; and brothers, Bobby and Joey King. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Goodbar; stepsons, James A. Crouch and Richard A. (Colleen) Dudley; grandchildren, Josh, Brittany, Samantha, and Dalton Crouch, Ashley Duncan, and Aubrey Goodbar; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy (Nancy) King, Mike (Teresa) King, Marty (Mary Lou) King; sisters, Debbie Painter and Patty Higgins; aunt, Frances Templeton; and numerous nieces and nephews including Stevie Hunt. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 6 to 8 pm at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va, 24066. Brenda's funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Pastor J.R. Graybill officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan.
