Bethany Marie Franklin

Bethany Marie Franklin July 11, 1987 - July 16, 2017 Our baby girl was taken from us suddenly early Sunday morning. Bethany was a beautiful young lady who cared for so many. She was a dedicated paramedic, fire fighter, respiratory therapist, daughter and friend. She was always working to improve herself, recently graduating at the top of her class with a degree in respiratory therapy and had taken a position at UVA in the Pediatric ICU. She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephew, spending as much time with them as possible. We could not be more proud of the young woman she had become and she will be dearly missed by her family and community. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elizabeth and Colvin Franklin. She is survived by her parents Chip and Brenda Franklin, brother Travis, sister-in-law Brittney, nieces Aspen, Jovie, Sutton and nephew Emory, Aunt Sue Franklin and Uncle John Franklin and his companion Marsha Pollack, grandparents Clifford and Mary Joan Hoppe, Uncle and Aunt Vince and Heather Hoppe, cousins Bryan and Dalton, the love of her life Nathan Campbell, a myriad of extended family, her Fire and EMS family and so many more. Our hearts are broken. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Lord Botetourt High School, 1435 Roanoke Road, Daleville, Va. 24083 with Rev. Brian Clingenpeel and Chaplain Ray Sloan officiating. The family has requested that instead of flowers honoring Bethany, donations be made to the fire department or rescue squad of your choice.
