Bessie “Trudy” Gertrude Johns, 76, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wayne Johns, Sr.; parents, Thomas and Bessie Beckner; sisters, Ruth Holdren and Evelyn Beckner; and brothers, Joseph Beckner and Larry “Ernest” Beckner

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Johns, Jr., Terry Johns, Steven and Elizabeth Johns, and Doug Johns and Micaela Mitchell; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Stephen Waldron; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren;; sisters, Christine Eisenhower and Ethelyn Smidburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
