In Loving Memory of Anthony David Yopp

Anthony David Yopp, age 51, of Buchanan, Virginia, passed away on October 17, 2026.

Anthony was a graduate of Franklin County High School and worked as a mechanic by trade. He was a man whose life was connected to the people and companions he held dear. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Larry Junior Yopp; his paternal grandparents, Garnett and Eunice Yopp; his maternal grandparents, Jerry Surface and Lina Mitchell; his step-grandmother, Melva Surface; his mother-in-law, Jodi Falsteaux; and his sister, Sherry Yopp Ferguson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Yvonne Falstreaux Yopp; his mother, Francis (Bruce) Young; his brother, Larry Michael Yopp; his nephew, Joshua Parker; his nieces, April Parker and Stormy Young; his great-nieces, Rylee Parker and Raelynn Parker; his best friend, Eddie Nelson; and his beloved best buddy, Moonpie. As well as numerous Aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Though Anthony’s passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, the memories made, the bonds shared, and the love he leaves behind will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service honoring Anthony’s life will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Botetourt Funeral Home in Buchanan, Virginia, with Pastor Gareth Stephenson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Botetourt Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
