Annamae Bryant Gilbert

Annamae B. Gilbert, 84, of Clifton Forge went to be with her Lord on Saturday August 24th 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 1st 1935, Daughter of the late James W. and Alice Bryant. She is preceded in death by her husband Emmett Randolph Gilbert Jr., brothers Ray Bryant, Bill Bryant, and Bob Bryant, a sister Sylvia Bryant, and a special friend Bill Loving. She leaves behind a son, Emmett "Randy" Gilbert III and wife Barbara of Iron Gate; two daughters, Sandra "Sandy" Gilbert of Fincastle and Rebecca "Becky" and husband Rick Pendleton of Iron Gate; granddaughter, Kelly and husband, Donnie Kern of Clifton Forge, a grandson Emmett "E.R." Gilbert IV of Iron Gate. Two great-grandchildren Christian and Caylin Kern of Clifton Forge; sister-in-law, Janie Bryant of Iron Gate; and several nieces, nephews, granddogs, and grandkitties. Annamae retired as a secretary for the Clifton Forge West School. She loved children, cooking for her family gatherings, meeting her friends at Hardees and her church.A special thank you to the Mountain Regional Hospice for their compassionate care from staff. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday Aug 27, 2019 at 3:00PM at Iron Gate Hill Cemetery with Rev. Edith Snedegar and Pastor Victor Nicely officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Regional Hospice or Advent Christian Church in leiu of flowers.
